But, with the challenges comes the perks. Like never getting cold in the middle of the night. And never, EVER being alone. ; - ) That being said, for your viewing pleasure, I have made a chalk outline of what my body looks like while sleeping at night - and where each little dachshund was (mind you, these are just filler images, I have yet to capture the real thing in an actual photo) around me while we all slept in the bed together...
Moses was tucked under my right arm laying on his back - as that is his favorite sleeping position - and using my bicep as a pillow. Merlot was tucked snugly between my legs and Bella was glued to my left side all night. If I moved, they moved with me. If I rolled over, they would each stretch out until at least one part of their body was touching me. Each one wanted to be touching me in some way ALL night. No exceptions.
It was like having three little personal heaters isolating each part of my body, never letting me get even close to being cold.
It was the WARMEST night of sleep I have ever had. ; - )
I recommend it to everyone.
Happy tails,
Bridget

Bridge,
Your post brought comfort to my dull day lol. It makes me really want a pet. I mean a pet that isn't pure evil. Though that white phantom that bursts into my room every blue moon seeking destruction is exciting. It still isn't a very loving creature....
It kinda sounds like sleeping in the same bed with three extremely needy girls. Is that a valid comparison? Though I haven't had much personal experience with that. Sleeping completely alone for a long time can really suck.
