Meeting Christian Siriano!

While doing the public relations for a breast cancer benefit called Steps to the Cure, I recently got the chance to meet Christian Siriano. He was a guest emcee for the event. Steps to the Cure is a breast cancer benefit fashion show in which all of the models are breast cancer survivors. The event was at the American Visionary Art Museum (note the pink poodle behind us made entirely of tu-tus.) Amy, Christian with his signature pose..., and me!

You may have also seen this poodle at the Kinetic Sculpture Race, which is Baltimore's annual celebration of people powered mobile art. This pink poodle now sits in the AVAMuseum (as seen behind us above). The rules are that sculptures must be human-powered. No pulling, pushing, paddling, or other propulsive method is allowed. Stored energy is allowed for non-propulsive purposes only. It is legal to get assistance from the natural power of water, wind, sun, and gravity. - Just something interesting...

In case you don't know who Christian is!: Christian Siriano is an American fashion designer and the winner of the fourth season of American reality show, Project Runway. Siriano is also the show's youngest winner. Project Runway is an American reality television series on the Bravo network which focuses on fashion design. The contestants compete with each other to create the best clothes and are usually restricted in time, materials, and theme. Their designs are judged and one or more designers are eliminated each week. Here are some of his latest designs (on the runway) available on his website:
